It’s that time of the month again! Welcome to She Approved’s monthly perfume round-up for March. Here is a summary of the perfumes in my rotation in March, from sweet and indulgent ouds to sexy and warm fragrances.

Angel by Thierry Mugler

Red Sun by Ayat

Boss Femme EDP by Hugo Boss

Roberto Cavalli EDP by Roberto Cavalli
Angel by Thierry Mugler
A forever favourite in my perfume collection, and a fragrance I will always try to replenish when low. This Oriental Vanilla fragrance is a grounded fragrance with stand-out base notes of patchouli, vanilla, and tonka bean.
Unlike other scent profiles that are linear. Angel’s scent profile is dimensional with an initial sweet and gourmand opening. Sweet and fruity undertones run rampant in this fragrance’s scent profile, with a warm and inviting landing in the base notes.
What I love the most is its longevity. Arguably, in my top 10 of fragrances for longevity. Applying this to my clothes has my fabrics clinging onto this fragrance for days!

Red Sun by Ayat
Not your stereotypical oud is the best way I would describe this fragrance. I fell head over heels in love with this sweet and gourmand oud.
With previously shying away from ouds, as the majority I came across were woody and musky. I thought this would be another oud that I would barely wear, but ‘Red Sun’ by Ayat has reignited my curiosity into finding more gourmand oud fragrances.
Not only is ‘Red Sun’ a stand-out, but long-lasting. Applying this in the morning, others as well as I can smell it on me till night. It’s not every day you find a fragrance that smells high-end and sophisticated without breaking the bank.

Boss Femme by Hugo Boss
Boss Femme is a floral, fruity fragrance with a delicate and subtle scent profile. It oozes femininity, with notes such as lemon tree and tangerine offering a citrus undertone.
However, I would argue that this beautiful fragrance is simply just that. It can be considered quite generic when compared to other fragrances on the market. But along with generic scent profiles comes versatility, making this fragrance perfect for everyday wear for those who don’t want an overbearing fragrance for daily use.

Roberto Cavalli by Roberto Cavalli
For a fragrance under £50, this Oriental Floral fragrance offers pure luxury. I love the composition of this fragrance, and the way it envelopes is stunning. This Cavalli fragrance quickly rose in the ranks in my perfume collection after the initial application.
With base notes of Vanilla, Tonka Bean, and Benzoin, the dry down is warm and sexy. Its composition makes it a perfect choice for evening wear and winter months. There is a gourmand tease with the pairing of vanilla and benzoin in the base. The scent is prominent on application and has presence as it envelopes, yet still exudes femininity with floral notes from the inclusion of African Orange Flower.
This fragrance would make a good substitute for fragrances like Lady Million by Paco Rabanne. If you’re looking for an affordable fragrance that smells like luxury, I would 100% recommend Roberto Cavalli as an addition to your collection.

Thank you for reading this month’s perfume round-up! Come back next month to see which perfumes make it to my April Perfume Round-Up.
