Black Opium by Yves Saint Laurent

Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62 Mist by Sol de Janeiro

Bloom by Gucci

Jazzab Gold Perfume EDP by Ard Al Zaafaran

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle L’eau Privee by Chanel

Beauty by Calvin Klein
Black Opium by YSL
With a scent profile composed of vanilla, patchouli, cedar, coffee, and jasmine, this oriental vanilla fragrance projects femininity with a twist.
From the offset, the opening is seductive and sensual with a gourmand tease. Despite the initial opening, the fragrance’s envelope is complex. What starts as a sensual opening develops into mystery and darkness. This scent is perfect for winter evenings or date nights with your favourite person.

Bloom by Gucci
True to its scent profile composition, ‘Bloom’ by Gucci has a strong floral opening. Floral accents are throughout the scent profile, from Jasmine to Rangoon Creeper.
Like most floral fragrances, in my opinion, the enveloping of the fragrance is linear and straightforward. Femininity runs rampant with ‘Bloom’, a scent perfect for spring and summer months. A true floral fragrance unlike ‘Perfect’ by Marc Jacobs.

Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel
This floral oriental fragrance is characteristic of a floral perfume with middle notes of rose and jasmine. On initial application, I noticed its light and delicate nature.
This fragrance was made to be used in the evening. When making this fragrance, wearing it for bed was its foundation. However, despite its delicate personality, it is a respectable date-night scent.

Brazilian Crush 62 Mist by Sol de Janeiro
Being a fume head who loves fragrances to have projection, sillage, and longevity, I don’t gravitate towards body mists. However, upon hearing the notes that make up this fragrance from caramel and vanilla to pistachio and almond, I was confident in Brazilian Crush being a stand-out for me.
One thing that is guaranteed whenever I wear this fragrance is compliments. I love its scent profile. However, I wish it would come in a composition that allowed longevity similar to my Eau de parfums. Despite all that, for a body mist, it lasts longer than I had expected.
Another thing I love about this fragrance is its versatility, despite its warm and inviting scent, which is usually synonymous with winter wear. This fragrance is a holiday in a bottle, making it appropriate for the summer months.

Jazzab Gold Perfume EDP by Ard Al Zaafaran
I have always loved ouds, but most of those I have come across have been from the same fragrance family. They have been woody and musky. While I don’t dislike woody fragrances, they’re not my preference.
This fragrance is one that I restock every time it runs out. Not only is it warm and inviting, but it is gourmand and rich with personality. Compliments are guaranteed when wearing this fragrance. On many occasions, I have been stopped and asked details about this fragrance.

Beauty by Calvin Klein
Surprisingly, despite people describing ‘Beauty’ by Calvin Klein as an old woman’s perfume, I love this fragrance. I would best describe the enveloping of this fragrance as a slow burner. The enveloping stays at one layer for a long period time before developing to the next. This not only speaks to its unpredictability but its longevity.
I love the longevity of this perfume, which lasts even longer when applied on clothing. It has a warm and inviting presence, which I love in a fragrance. It is a feminine fragrance that is elegant, not seductive and playful. Perfect for more ‘mature’ fume heads.

Well, there you have it! My favourite fumes of February. February was the month of florals, with my iniate love of oriental perfumes peaking through. With February being the month of love, there are some fragrances to look out for on your next date night. Come back next month to read my favourite March fumes!
