In the last year, there has been a lot of talk about the Zara fragrances. With people raving about their amazing scents and their affordability. When seeing the perfumes, I was not only impressed with the range of different scents but the prices. One fragrance that caught my attention was ‘Wonder Rose’, a sweet and fruity vanilla-based fragrance. If you have read my other fragrance posts, you will know that I love a vanilla-based fragrance. However, my vanilla-based fragrances are usually warm, rounded, and inviting, but ‘Wonder Rose’ despite being vanilla-based has a different scent profile.

Wonder Rose by Zara

Ever since I started wearing this perfume, I have been complimented non-stop at work. I have been looking for an indulgent and gourmand eau de parfum fragrance that is also affordable; a fragrance that I can wear every day and re-stock without breaking the bank. To emphasise just how beautiful this perfume is, after wearing ‘Wonder Rose’ one of my colleagues stopped me and asked what I was wearing. Once I told her, she immediately ordered the perfume online!
Wonder Rose is an aromatic fruity fragrance with notes of Pear, Red Fruits, and Vanilla. As I have briefly touched on, one of the things I love about this perfume is its versatility. It is a perfume that can be worn flippantly and daily, like to work, but in the same breath, it is easily a perfume that can be worn in the evening. Even more so, it can definitely be layered with other fragrances to add another element. For example, I recently went out for my friend’s birthday, and I experimented with layering it with one of my more warm and rounded vanilla-based perfumes – Angel by Thierry Mugler.
With Angel being a more warm and rounded vanilla-based scent, adding Wonder Rose added a playful and sweet element to my scent profile.
Another Zara Fragrance
Something I appreciate about Zara perfumes is the variable sizes, which allow you to ‘sample’ scents before you commit to the bigger size. Seeing as I was able to smell the scent in store, before purchasing and immediately fell in love with the perfume. I bought the 180ml bottle, but they also have smaller sizes available in 90ml.

Despite, how addictive and beautiful this scent is, for all my sillage-obsessed perfume lovers, this isn’t a scent to wear solely. This is a perfume, where possible cons such as its longevity and sillage can be remedied by coupling the scent with heavy hitter perfumes that can help carry the scent. What Fragrance Next?
‘Wonder Rose’ was a good introduction to Zara fragrances, so I will be returning to Zara in the next few months to buy more perfumes. So stay tuned for more reviews of Zara perfumes and more!
